The Presidents and Lead Officers Residential is a valuable networking event for all lead officers in HE Student Unions to take stock of their first few months in office, share successes and plan for the rest of the year. The event provides a fantastic opportunity to seriously focus on the issues affecting your union and discuss relevant topics with officers who are in the same role throughout the region.

The event itself will include various topics for discussion, as well as workshops and networking time in the evening. Regional staff will also be on hand to offer their advice and expertise on the issues. Significantly, this year's event will dedicate even more time discussing issues that you want to focus on. It is a highly rated event that has traditionally been regarded as extremely useful to delegates.

• Tackling challenges for the term ahead
• Developing effective relationships with the institution
