NUS has asked that these parliamentary questions be put down:
Would the secretary of State for education and skills be able to provide a breakdown of the number of applicants to university by ethnic group for the 1996 to the 2007 academic years
Would the secretary of State for education and skills be able to provide a breakdown of overall university retention figures from 1996 to 2007 by a) socio economic group, b) ethnicity and c) age
To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills whether it would be lawful under the Education Act 1994 for a students' union to be integrated with its university
To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills to make a statement about institutions using the Charities Act 2006 to integrate the students' union in to their structures.
Would the secretary of State for education and skills be able to provide a breakdown of the number of a) applicants to university by socio economic group for the 1996 to the 2007 academic years b) acceptances to university by socio economic group for the 1996 to the 2006 academic years c) and would he make a statement on this?
